Active Web Reader - Working With Feeds

Adding a New Feed for Monitoring Changes

Some useful RSS feeds come preloaded with the Active Web Reader. You can access them from the Feeds tab to the left of the AWR user-interface. You can also easily add RSS feeds of you choice.

To add a new feed:

  1. On the File Menu, point to New and click New Feed.
  2. In the New Feed dialog, specify the Feed name.
  3. Enter the URL of the Feed.
  4. Select an Auto-Update Frequency. Active Web Reader updates the specified feed periodically after the duration you specify here.
  5. Click Ok to add new Feed.

To add a feed to a particular folder:

  1. Right click on the Folder you want to add the feed to.
  2. Click on New and then click on Feed.
  3. In the New Feed dialog, specify the Feed name.
  4. Enter the URL of the Feed.
  5. Select an Auto-Update Frequency. Active Web Reader updates the specified feed periodically after the duration you specify here.
  6. Click Ok to add new Feed. You can also Add a Feed by clicking on the New button on the Tool Bar.

The new feed appears in that selected folder otherwise it is added to the root folder. You may later drag and drop the feed from the root folder to the folder of your choice. The name of the Feed appears bold when a update occurs.
